Technically Delirious
It gives me great pleasure to add this site to my “Loves” list, which I will be adding to as time goes on. Delirious is a web design and graphics site from a close friend of mine, Natalie. As you can probably tell from the URL we share the same domain name as we bought some web space together. Her artistry and the application to her ideas makes me feel graphically inept, and I always look forward to the next creation. There are a lot of game and anime themes which I like the most and the web templates are intuitive and also visually enticing.
What started out as a thought for us to create some sites together, turned into reality. It is comforting to have someone else where you can bounce ideas and to have a second opinion. I wanted to write and she wanted to draw, and that is how our sites came into being. Even though the subject matter for both of ours is different, we work together closely in the background. She’s a pretty good coder too, specialising in HTML, PHP and CSS (thank you for fixing Akismet for me!).
Natalie is currently in her final year before heading off to university to study law (unless she changes her major again), so you may need to give her a little slack on updating. Actually, she just created a new template for her site so check it out. I need to bug her about slaving utilising her graphical prowess for my upcoming Ghost In The Shell project, yes I am going to indulge in my obsession and create a site.
To put a slight tech spin on this, her bag of tricks includes EmEditor to code and Adobe Photoshop for the use of brushes. She also uses a Macbook Pro and a laptop with Windows Vista. The question is, which does she prefer? Mac vs Windows Round 1 anyone?
Footnote: Actually she loves her Mac so much that if she had to choose between saving me from getting crushed by a falling telegraph pole, or her Mac being destroyed by a large elephant… lets just say I hope she never has to choose.
